Case Study
S, is 19 years old this year and few years ago I stumbled across an article on the internet about Dyslexia and Davis Program and started reading about it. I did a bit of research on it and realised that S showed similar traits in her life. I took their online assessment and it confirmed my understanding even more therefore I got in touch with them.
When she started school, we started realising that she was not very academically sound like what our family trend has been.
Her teachers started complaining that she was not concentrating is class and had basically labelled her as a “poor & weak” student. Despite this she continued with her primary school and went on to high school however, with each year passing I saw her confidence level go down and saw her struggle to do well at many things.
When she was in year 10 of her high school, her school Principal told our Father that there was no way she would be admitted into year 11 because of her mediocre performance. We took her out of the normal school curriculum and put her through vocational studies where she started learning about Food Catering and Fashion Designing. This course was more on practical basis and was for two years which she finished within her timeframe. During this course we noticed that she was doing well with her practical assessments but not so well with her written assessment.
However, she still found it difficult to read and write. Her confidence level was very low. She appeared to be confused most of the time and was not able to relate to others around her and took time to understand and execute things

After getting in touch through the website I got an email from Vanessa Victor. I also met her in person to understand about Dyslexia better. After our meeting it confirmed that S was suffering from Dyslexia. What gave me comfort was that there were some corrective programs available which could help her to be able to read and write better and may assist her confidence level to boost or be able to see things differently.
When the program started I was bit nervous because I didn’t know how S and Vanessa will get along esp. when we also had a language barrier! S English is bit weak.
However, with the help of my other two sisters for the first two days of the program as translators for S, Vanessa managed to communicate to her about the basics of the program.
Since February to now May - we have noticed a lot of changes in her. She is a whole new person who can communicate, appears confident, isn’t scared to try on new things and is able to write better and her reading has improved a whole new lot.
Seeing her struggle for all these years and now finally being able to manage on her own - is one of the biggest blessings for us all - we are continuing to support her through the program and look forward to a better S in very near future.
I would highly recommend anyone who needs this help to go ahead and esp. with Vanessa as she is such an amazing personality with huge amount of patience and love. For us she is just awesome!!!
